Is This the End for Mark Sanchez?

New York Jets Mark Sanchez

Of all NFL Starting Quarterbacks, Mark Sanchez is sporting a league worst 71.4 Quarterback Rating. His repeated poor play and bad decision making only continued this past Sunday. Sanchez threw three interceptions on the Jets' first five possessions. Even for Sanchez that's pretty bad. The Jets finally couldn't take it anymore. With 4:48 left in the third quarter, Rex Ryan pulled Mark Sanchez. Since Tim Tebow was out due to injury, second year man from Alabama, Greg McElroy, stepped into the spotlight,. Jets fans could not contain their excitement. McElroy immediately proved his worth, showing great concentration, and driving the Jets right down the field for his first ever NFL Touchdown on a 1-yard pass to Jeff Cumberland. This gave New York the lead and ultimately the win, beating the lowly Cardinals 7-6.

Sanchez hasn't gotten any better and the Jets continue to hear it from their fans and the media. McElroy looked very aware in the pocket and clearly showed more focus. This performance will only raise more questions about the Jets and their quarterback situation. What should they do? Who should start next week? Will Sanchez ever start again? What will they do with Tebow? Let us know what you think!
