Tune into NBC at 7:00 PM ET this Sunday, January 27th, as Arizona Cardinals’ rising star, cornerback/punt returner Patrick Peterson, is heading to the Pro Bowl once again.
Peterson was the NFC starting returner in the 2012 Pro Bowl, after having a record-tying rookie year with four punts returned for touchdowns. Although the former first round draft pick failed to put up any numbers on the scoreboard this season, he did manage to produce some impressive defensive numbers .
In addition to his 17 passes defended and 55 combined tackles, Peterson tied for fourth in the league with 7 interceptions this season, leaving little question why he will be representing his conference as the reserve cornerback to starters Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings in the 2013 Pro Bowl.
If he continues with this trajectory, maybe Peterson will go 3 for 3 in Pro Bowl appearances and even be starting cornerback in 2014.
